Hydrophobic Silica

Hydrophobic Silica is specially treated silica. Based on the different characteristics of various industries, it is produced by reacting ordinary hydrophilic silica with treating agents such as silane coupling agents under appropriate conditions. The resulting solid powdery silica has polysiloxane grafted on its surface, with a hydrophobic contact angle ranging from 70° to 150°. It not only has excellent hydrophobicity, but also features defoaming, thickening, good leveling, and anti-settling properties. It is suitable for applications including textile dyeing and finishing, defoamers, lubricating oils, unsaturated polyester resins, powder fire extinguishing agents, silicone rubber, and other products.
